2023 Race Entry Information
With a Junior Triathlon Saturday Morning, our coveted Morley Auto Group Sprint Triathlon Saturday evening, and our Wharf to Winery Swim on Sunday Morning, this truly is a multisport weekend for everyone !

JUNIOR DUATHLON
9:00AM SATURDAY 21 JANUARY 2023
Due to recent flooding events in the area, we do not have a suitable location for a swim leg for a triathlon, however we have brought back the popular DUATHLON format!
Consisting of a short run, followed by an OFF ROAD / gravel surface bike and finishing with a longer run.
There are two different distances on offer:
7-10years
100m run | 3km bike | 400m run
11-14years
200m run | 6km bike | 800m run

The Morley Auto Group Sprint Triathlon is a truly unique race with competitors enjoying a stunning three leg tri course in the heart of Echuca, through the historic Port of Echuca, in and around the iconic and beautiful Murray River.

700m swim | 20km bike | 5km
Individuals Categories
15–16yrs | 17-19yrs | 20–24yrs | 25-29yrs | 30-34yrs | 35-39yrs | 40-44yrs | 45-49yrs | 50-54yrs | 55-59yrs | 60-64yrs | 65-69yrs | 70yrs+
David Meade SuperClass / Open (Male & Female) - This category is for competitive Triathletes of any age. It is the first wave/s of the event. Entrants in the Super Class category CAN still claim prizes in their age group category.
Teams Categories
Female Team | Male Team | Mixed Team

The teams category is completed as a relay. One person completes the swim, one completes the cycle and one completes the run.

The timing band (which is strapped to your leg with velcro) is passed to the next team member like a 'relay baton'.

Teams can consist of 2 or 3 competitors. In a Team of 2 - One competitor will complete two legs which can be in any combination / order.

WHARF TO WINERY SWIM
9:30AM SUNDAY 22 JANUARY 2023
Our Wharf to Winery Swim is a spectacular 3km downstream river swim, through the historic port of Echuca, under the new Dhungala Bridge and finishing at a floating pontoon the banks of Morrisons Winery on the NSW side of the river.

CONTINGENCIES
THE RIVER - WILL WE BE ABLE TO SWIM?
The river is an ever-changing landscape, and without having a crystal ball, we do not have a definite answer. We do however have contingencies in place should we not able to swim (not unlike other events when the swim leg is cancelled)
Sprint Triathlon: Should the river be deemed not suitable for swimming / not open, the sprint triathlon will revert to a duathlon - run / ride / run. We will continually update entrants and prospective entrants whenever we have any new information.
Wharf to Winery: Should the river be deemed not suitable for swimming / not open, the Wharf to Winery will be postponed, with an alternative date provided. If a suitable alternative date is unable to be found, the event for 2023 will be cancelled. Entrants will have the option to move their entry to the new date OR if this date does not suit the entrant OR the event is cancelled, a full refund (less any administration fees) will be provided. So you can enter with confidence knowing contingencies are in place.
After such recent devastation in the area due to flooding, we really hope we will see you and support our region in January 2023 !

All entry fees listed above do not include Online Registration & System Booking Fee - this is on top of the entry fee.

Non TA (Triathlon Australia) members will be charged an extra $10 for race day insurance for the Sprint Tri or $2 for the Kids Tri

Teams will be charged an extra $10.00 per team for TA race day insurance, unless all team members are TA insured.

Any entry in the Sprint or Junior Triathlon AFTER 8 January 2023 will have their FREE event t-shirt sent out in the mail - this will incur a $10 postage cost. This ensures we can order and have the correct amount of tees for each individual / team and not have wastage either. Better for the environment and in keeping the overall cost of the event down.

LATE ENTRIES: An additional $10 late entry fee is applicable from 15/01/23 (1 week prior to event) for the Sprint Distance and Wharf to Winery Events. A $5 late fee for the Junior Tri.
REFUND & TRANSFER POLICY
All requests for refunds or transfers must be made in writing by emailing echucamoamatriclubtriclub@gmail.com
The following fees will be applied to cancellations:
1. A 10% cancellation fee will be incurred if you withdraw before 31/12/22
2. A 20% cancellation fee will be incurred if you withdraw between 1/1/23 and the 15/1/23
3. No refunds will be available after 15/1/23 (unless part of our contingency plan)
4. Entries are transferable if required to our 2024 Event. A request for a transfer must be in writing by emailing echucamoamatriclubtriclub@gmail.com by 15/1/23
