WHARF TO WINERY SWIM

Our Wharf to Winery Swim is a must do over our multi-sports weekend. A fully closed river from the Port of Echuca through to Morrisons Winery and Restaurant. Assisted by the down river current, this is possibly the most specular (and fastest!) river swim in Australia!
This year we have TWO distance on offer including our coveted 3km Wharf to Winery Swim, and we have introduced a NEW 1.5km swim for those who are wanting to join in on the fun. Both events finish at Morrisons Winery and Restaurant with a FREE brunch and entertainment. The perfect way to cap off a fantastic multi-sports weekend !

With the amazing uptake across all our events we now only have 20 ON THE DAY Event Merchandise towels left to allocate!
We thought we ordered PLENTY but could not have anticipated the number of entries we have received this year!

Once the next 20 entries are taken (across all events), the entries will then incur a +$10 fee and
your event merchandise towel will be MAILED to you post event.

A spectacular 3km downstream river swim, through the historic port of Echuca and finishing at a floating pontoon on the banks of Morrisons Winery and Restaurant on the NSW side of the river. Topped off with food and entertainment to cap off a fantastic multisport weekend

*Superclass Wave: If you are a fast swimmer and would like to start in the first wave for some clear water, please enter the Superclass Wave. If you want to contest for line honours and to be eligible for prize money, you must enter this wave.

COURSE MAP & DETAILS
NOTE: Further information and details will be outlined in our Competitor Information Booklet available closer to event weekend.
REGISTRATION
Registration and check in for both events is from Aquatic Reserve - behind the Echuca Library, near Murray Esplanade.
Registration area will be open from 8:00am and closes 9:10am.
THE START
The 3KM swim STARTS at the ‘Onion Patch’ near Aquatic Reserve - so just a short walk from the registration area.
The 1.5KM swim STARTS at Victoria Park Boat Ramp approximately 1.5km walk/drive from the registration area. Please ensure you allow sufficient time to check in and walk / drive to the start for this event. .
THE FINISH
The finish area is at Morrisons Riverview Winery, 123 Merool Road, Moama.
POST EVENT BUS SHUTTLE
Thank you to our kind event Sponsors the Moama RSL there will be a FREE curtesy bus from Morrisons back to the registration area and/or Victoria Park Boat Ramp post event.
START TIMES
3KM Swimmers will be released in waves, with the first wave for the 3KM event at 9:30AM being the ‘Superclass / Open’ category made up of those who nominated at the time of entry potentially racing for line honours. Other waves will follow. Please see our 'swim wave and cap colours' information when released closer to the event.
1.5KM Swimmers will start at approx 9:40/9:45AM. Please ensure you are at the start area at Victoria Park Boat Ramp no later than 9:35AM
THE COURSE
All swimmers swim downstream, under the new Dhungala Bridge and finishing at a floating pontoon on the banks of Morrisons Riverview Winery on the NSW side of the river. Swimmers can take any line of the river they choose, there are no buoys that you must turn / follow.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
· All entry fees listed above do not include Online Registration & System Booking Fee - this is on top of the entry fee.
· A price increase will take effect from 8 January 2024 on all entries as advertised.
REFUND & TRANSFER POLICY
All requests for refunds or transfers must be made in writing by emailing echucamoamatriclub@gmail.com
The following fees will be applied to cancellations:
1. A 10% cancellation fee will be incurred if you withdraw before 31/12/23
2. A 20% cancellation fee will be incurred if you withdraw between 1/1/24 and the 15/1/24
3. No refunds will be available after 15/1/24 (unless part of our contingency plan)
4. Entries are transferable if required to our 2025 Event. A request for a transfer must be in writing by emailing echucamoamatriclub@gmail.com by 15/01/24
